Will This $20K Modified Subaru Beat A $200K Lamborghini Murcielago?

Fit with a list of aftermarket upgrades, watch to see if the Subaru wagon wins over a V12-powered Lamborghini supercar.

For any avid car modifier, the goal of pouring time, sweat, and money into a build is to outperform supercars that cost well into the six-figure price range. As the world of aftermarket modifications continues to grow and span into all automotive categories, this becomes more attainable for those willing to take on the challenge. The guys at Driven Media are excited to pursue that test in their newest YouTube video featuring a modified Subaru WRX wagon. Over 6 months, the Subaru received an upgraded clutch, set of coilovers, sticky semi-slick tires, sport brakes, and stiffer anti-roll bars. An additional 300 lbs of weight was also removed to push the sport wagon from 196 horsepower to an impressive 304 horsepower.

With $20,000 of modifications added, Driven Media sourced a rare Lamborghini Murcielago to go head-to-head on a twisting autocross-style track. The Lamborghini Murcielago stands out as an obvious fan favorite, boasting over 660 horsepower from its 6.2L Naturally-Aspirated V12 engine. As the two set out on track during a cold U.K. December day, each car showcases its talents of speed, braking, and handling.
