Many luxury brands think front-wheel drive and a comfy interior is all we need. That is why Lexus dares to build cars for true enthusiasts. The first IS 300 arrived in 1999 with the legendary 1JZ straight-six. College isn’t cheap so I managed the fleet of them as Service Loaners from Lexus of Orlando. A small & nimble sedan with rear-wheel drive is a ticket to amazing cornering, often sideways. Now that we are on the verge of something new, its time to make space for a new daily driver. That’s because the 2021 Lexus IS was just teased.
