Lexus flexes its off-road prowess at the 2023 SEMA Show with a captivating line-up featuring the GX series, LX 600, and new AAP products.

Lexus is turning heads at this year’s 2023 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, affirming its expertise in off-road capabilities. The premium automaker is displaying six vehicles, including a 2022 Lexus GX 460 Premium AAP Build, that truly exemplifies both the rugged and refined sides of the brand.

The GX 460 Premium is a powerhouse of performance and luxury. The vehicle is outfitted with a 301-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 engine that churns out 329 lb.-ft. of torque. What sets it apart visually is the custom Matte Yellow Saffron body wrap, giving it an unmistakable presence. To tackle the outdoors, it’s fitted with 34-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires and 18-inch wheels. CBI Offroad rock sliders and a full skid plate make it a true off-roading gem.

Lexus isn’t just stopping at visual appeals; they’re ensuring their vehicles are adventure-ready. For those keen on overlanding, the GX 460 comes equipped with a Kammok Outpost Overland Hammock Stand mounted on a Prinsu Roof Rack. In addition, an ARB Elements Weatherproof Fridge Freezer stores your food securely. An ARB 12V Portable Air Compressor and other recovery kits complete the outdoor package.

Let’s not overlook the 2022 Lexus LX 600 Premium AAP Build. Its eye-catching custom Aquamarine body wrap immediately grabs attention. But it’s more than just good looks. Under the hood, it houses a high-torque 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. Off-road features include Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control. It’s also perfect for a weekend getaway with a quick-deploying Kammok Crosswing Car Awning and a Yakima EXO OpenRange Deluxe camp kitchen.

Stealing the spotlight is the all-new 2024 Lexus GX 550 Overtrail+ AAP Build. Using the rugged and futuristic new Lexus GX in its Overtrail trim as a canvas, it’s a game-changer with its bi-tone Earth and Black exterior and a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 engine. The new engine is a beast, offering an impressive 349 horsepower and a massive 479 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires and black accented overfenders make it a formidable off-road competitor.

The GX 550 Overtrail+ doesn’t skimp on storage, thanks to the installed Prinsu Roof Rack, Pelican Cargo Cases, and rear window accessory panels. For those dicey off-road situations, rotoPax two-gallon containers and a DMOS Delta Shovel are included.

In addition to these premium offerings, Lexus is also showcasing unique owner builds of the 2008 and 2009 Lexus GX 470 and 2010 Lexus GX 460. These models helped pave the way for the all-new 2024 GX 550, further solidifying Lexus’ place in the realm of off-road luxury.

Lexus’ showcase at the 2023 SEMA Show is a full-throttle display of off-road prowess, integrated with the brand’s iconic luxury. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or a luxury aficionado, these new builds have something to offer for everyone.
