Maserati lets the sky into its new grand tourer.

Maserati has been known and celebrated for its grand tourers for decades, and the new GranTurismo is a continuation of that legacy: a powerful and drop-dead gorgeous car made for long-distance journeys that are enjoyable, comfortable, and engaging. For many, those kinds of drives are enhanced further with the top down, and Maserati has officially delivered on that front, revealing the new Maserati GranCabrio, the current generation’s spyder counterpart to the stunning GranTurismo.

At launch, the GranCabrio is available in the Trofeo trim, which boasts a 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 which is capable of producing 542 horsepower. With a fabric roof that stows in 13.9 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph, the GranCabrio is the latest in a tradition of over 60 years of Maserati spyders, with Maserati’s first convertible sports car, the 3500 GT Convertible, being introduced at the 1959 Paris Motor Show.

For total comfort with the roof up or down, a neck warmer is available as standard, with an optionally available wind stopper, which minimizes turbulence with the top down, delivering on the GranCabrio’s promise of delivering long journeys in luxury, style, elegance, comfort and performance alike. To deliver on the front of style, the soft top is also available in three different colors.

Paired with the GranTurismo Coupe, Maserati’s new generation of the GranCabrio represents the historic Trident brand’s take on open-top grand touring performance. With 542 horsepower coming from its Nettuno V6 engine, and a luxurious convertible interior, long drives with the top down are on the menu.
