Bruno Senna Debuts The McLaren Artura In North America With Miami Hot Laps

Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, a different kind of McLaren takes the track.

McLaren and legendary race car driver Ayrton Senna have history, as 21 years ago was when he won his last US Grand Prix at the Phoenix Street Circuit in Arizona. That history continues with his nephew Bruno, as he takes the all-new McLaren Artura High-Performance Hybrid to the Miami International Autodrome and goes all out on the track with McLaren’s first series-production hybrid supercar.

The track features 19 corners, 3 straights, and plenty of elevation changes that put cars like the Artura through their paces and truly test their performance. Bruno Senna said that the electric motor combines with the V6 engine to create a confident and powerful ride. With a total system capability of 671 horsepower and 531 lb/ft of torque, the Artura gets from 0-60 in only 3 seconds flat and ends up climbing all the way to 205 mph. With that kind of performance, it’s no wonder how the McLaren Artura was able to make such a splash with its North American debut.
