Gulf Livery McLaren 12C Spider For Sale

Powder Blue and Marigold are calm and unassuming colors. Individually they wouldn’t be the best choice when painting a car, but combine them and you will have a recipe for winning races. Back in 1967, the VP of Gulf Oil decided to enter his GT40 at Sebring and Daytona. As a way to promote the company, his team devised a stunning two-tone paint scheme that is among the most revered in racing history.

We dug through our archives and through the inventories of our dealers to bring you a Gallery of Gulf back in 2013. Since then we have seen a few more examples, but one of them is burned into our collective consciousness: the MP4-12C Spider for sale. Our friends a McLaren Newport Beach needed a centerpiece for their showroom, and this stunning 2013 model plays center stage. McLaren Special Operations worked their magic on the interior, adding carbon fiber seat backs and shift paddles. The interior is awash in orange and carbon black leather and shows no signs of wear. The infotainment system has been upgraded with Parrot hardware for improved navigation and audio capabilities.

With only 4,465 miles on the odometer, this car is basically brand new. Although it looks like a piece of history, we would be too tempted to swap the street tires for race rubber and hit the track. Stay tuned to Autofluence for more Gulf liveries and wild McLarens.
