Even while distancing, cooperation is the only way we’re going to beat this. That is why all 3 divisions of McLaren now have a common goal. The automotive, racing and applied technology teams have joined forces to support VentilatorChallengeUK.
The automotive team has designed and crash-tested the carbon fiber chassis of their ventilators. While not a traditional crash, these tests were meant to simulate the harsh conditions of a triage center. The machine tools at McLaren racing are now turning out the complex internals of the ventilator. Finally, McLaren Applied is building the electronics and conducting final testing on each unit.
