One-Off McLaren P1 GTR Designed to Honor Ayrton Senna

McLaren Special Operations has just unveiled a very special edition of the McLaren P1 GTR. This specific example of the race car was a bespoke commission designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna clinching his maiden Formula 1 World Championship.

The customer who ordered this P1 GTR is actually a McLaren collector who says he was inspired by Ayrton Senna at a young age. His idea behind the commission was to create a tribute that “echoed the Brazilian’s trademark perfectionism,” according to McLaren Automotive.
