LEGO Technic’s first F1 car is a McLaren with an engine that has moving pistons.

Starting March 1, fans of LEGO and F1 will be able to realize their ultimate dream: a LEGO Technic model F1 car. That said, hopefully, your favorite F1 team is McLaren Racing, because McLaren’s MCL35M race car will be the very first LEGO Technic F1 car. Sporting the same Papaya livery as the real cars, the LEGO version consists of 1,432 pieces and features a model of the V6 engine that powers the real cars, complete with moving pistons. The LEGO car also has suspension, cockpit-activated steering, and a differential lock.

When it’s all said and done, the LEGO Technic McLaren F1 car is 5 inches tall, over 2 feet long, and over 10 inches wide. As Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris take on this year’s F1 Championship, McLaren Racing fans can build a smaller version of the car that they want to see cross the line first, and live the Formula One dream, LEGO style.
