An acquisition like this would most definitely shake up the automotive world. Apple has been eyeing the car industry for quite some time, mostly in the autonomous sector. If Apple were to acquire McLaren, I doubt that we’d see autonomous supercars driving around. However, we could see a new company under McLaren that would implement the automaker’s engineering prowess with Apple’s self-driving tech. Of course, this is all speculation and nothing is official, yet.
