The 2015 racing season has yet to come to a close, but Mercedes-AMG is already looking toward and preparing for the 2016 circuits.
The 2015 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) season kicked off on May 2 at the Hockenheimring, the same location where the series will end on Oct. 18. With nine races in total for this series, and only three left in 2015, it’s quickly drawing to a close, and as an Aug. 29 press release from Daimler acknowledges, it’s time to start considering next year’s races.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe is set to be the basis of this design, as the C-Class has a history of succeeding in this race series. As the release tells us, the AMG Mercedes C-Class secured 85 victories in 159 races, making it the most successful car in DTM history.
