Don’t fix it if it’s not broken. That is the reasoning behind a few updates for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Instead of a new model, they have released a handful of updates for the ’19 model year. The most obvious upgrades are the new front and rear bumpers. LED headlights and taillights are now standard, along with hidden sensors for the autonomous system.

Much like the E-Class, we reviewed last week, the new C-Class will be able to hold its own lane on the highway. Automatic brake and collision avoidance are joined by 14 more horsepower than last year. Inside you will be treated to the same 12.3″ screen found in the S-Class. The controller on the center console now has haptic feedback. The audio system is all new, with Burmester’s FrontBass technology. It places a subwoofer into the hollow crash structure in the dash. This makes for incredibly crisp low-end sounds.

The new 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. If that is not adequate, AMG will be happy to sell you one of their wild C63 models once production begins.
