Final Design for 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Leaked

Fans of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class are fond of the SUV’s iconic styling in the form of a boxy body and tall stature. For decades, the G-Class has stood out from other Mercedes models thanks to these design cues and, for the 2019 model year, the German automaker isn’t planning on changing that.

Leaked by AutoWeek.nl is a series of images that show the upcoming 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class without any camouflage. From the images, we see a new model that has been refreshed, but not overhauled. In the front are new headlights that are more pronounced, as well as a new bumper. In the back, the only change you’ll see is a minute difference in the tail lights.Overall, however, the new 2019 G-Class is a bit more rounded-off.

Other physical changes include the addition of 0.23-inches to the G-Class possible ground clearance, a wider body, new ladder frame chassis that’s stiffer than before and new 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. There is also the inclusion of the new “G-Mode” drive program. This new mode is built around providing maximum off-road capabilities.
