Showcasing a true one-of-one build and design, the motorsport-inspired Mercedes makes an appearance on real life and virtual roads.
With iconic automotive-inspired video games making their triumph return, most car enthusiasts are reliving their past and most likely the reason for their fueled obsession. One of the most anticipated video game releases of the year is Need For Speed Unbound, a modern take on a classic that now includes inspiration from celebrity car collectors and industry-leading streetwear brands. While the fashion specialists at Palace began its partnership with the video game franchise, American rapper A$AP Rocky is also featured in the game along with a virtual version of his DTM-inspired Mercedes-Benz 190E.
Accurately depicting his one-of-a-kind German classic, the game reimagines its split-colored black and white finish. The build also showcases bright yellow gold exterior trim components, a favorite for A$AP Rocky as his lyrics and songs countlessly reference the precious metal. Each door reads “If not now then when” and “Always strive and prosper” as a nod to Rocky’s A$AP music family. Its rather traditional styling achieves its aggressive look with an aftermarket air suspension that lowers the 190E beneath the custom motorsport wheels.
