Headquartered in Stuart, Florida, RENNtech is known for its Mercedes-Benz expertise and prowess. The well-known brand is able to take Mercedes-Benz cars that are already revered for their luxury and performance and transform them into amazing and unique machines. The latest is the new RENNtech RIIIx, an upgraded version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupe that has the power, speed, and engineering to be considered a “family supercar.”

The “family supercar” designation isn’t taken lightly, as the RIIIx boasts an incredible 1,196 horsepower. It starts with the Mercedes-AMG car’s M177 twin-turbocharged V8, which is then given Stage II high-performance turbochargers and a re-mapped ECU to deliver that amount of horsepower and 927 lb/ft of torque. With various powertrain and transmission upgrades, that power goes to all four wheels, which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires for great traction. Combine all of this with a special aerodynamic package, and you’re left with a car that does the quarter-mile in just 9.9 seconds at 139 mph, getting from 0-60 in just 2.44 seconds.

With its exposed carbon fiber looks on the outside and beautiful custom wheels, and especially with 515 horsepower and 191 lb/ft of torque more than the stock car, resulting in a 76 percent increase in power, the new RENNtech RIIIx is a very special car, and a reminder of RENNtech’s Mercedes-Benz performance expertise.
