We will surely miss the deep exhaust rumble and brutal low-end torque of the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter C63 AMG.
The 2015 C63 is powered by the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 from the GT S, as we reported Sept. 24, 2014. While the advancements in power production are impressive, it is bittersweet to move on from the sound of a naturally aspirated engine.
To celebrate one of the most popular AMG models ever made, ten “Legacy Edition” coupes were built in bright Viper Green. We can see them in a gallery posted yesterday on Mercedes-AMG’s Facebook page, and as the caption tells us, all ten are on their way to South Africa.
More photos can be found on AMG’s C63 site, along with some of the finer details. Each car received a numbered dash plaque along with unique ten-spoke forged wheels. Hopefully one of the lucky owners will list it for sale in the world’s best car magazine.
