Mercedes-Benz USA Reports Over 87,000 Sales For Q3 2022

A jolt of electricity is changing Mercedes-Benz’s lineup and sales.

The third quarter of 2022 is over for Mercedes-Benz USA, and the results include sales of a total of 87,682 vehicles for the quarter, combining passenger cars and vans. Currently, Mercedes-Benz USA’s total year-to-date sales come in at 262,456, which is an increase of 3.5% over 2021. This quarter, we saw the introduction of the EQB and US-built EQS SUV to United States Mercedes-Benz dealers, and still to come is the EQE sedan before the year comes to a close.

Congruent with current automotive trends, the most popular sellers for Mercedes-Benz were the GLC, GLE, and C-Class models. Nearly 20,000 GLC-Class vehicles were sold this quarter, with nearly 14,000 GLEs following along with nearly 9,000 C-Classes. The all-electric EQ models sold 2,717 total units, with the number for AMG models totaling 9.021 for the quarter, which is an incredible increase of 25.6% over last year’s third quarter. With success in the third quarter, Mercedes-Benz USA hopes to finish strong this year.
