Can you handle a high voltage Sonderklasse?
You read that right, the new Mercedes electric sedan will arrive this Thursday without Benz being anywhere. As the flagship for a new brand, the EQS is technically being offered by Mercedes-EQ. For a quick refresher, the other Daimler brands are Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach, and Smart. Eventually they will offer electric versions of each, and they will feature technologies developed for the EQS. The video will be live on their Mercedes Media site, and hopefully disseminated to other platforms in short order.
This car is the foundation of their future, so the simulcast will feature top brass along with the engineers and stylists. What we know so far is the dash is one massive touchscreen, and the E-Drive system is unlike anything we have experienced before. Aside from a 56″ display, their goal is a range of 400 miles.
