Mercedes-Benz Releases New Performance Upgrade For EQE & EQS

Mercedes-Benz is full steam ahead (or rather electric motor) towards what it and many automotive manufacturers see to be the future of mobility, which is electric vehicles. Its rapidly-growing EQ range of models already features SUVs and sedans with Mercedes-Benz’s typically excellent luxury and design and even includes AMG and Maybach versions. However, something more is in store, as Mercedes-Benz USA is announcing a newly available performance upgrade for EQE and EQS vehicles, bringing performance up by as much as 80 horsepower, and bringing the 0-60 time down by as much as an entire second.

The most interesting part is the fact that this upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz EQE and EQS models is delivered over the air, a new method many manufacturers have introduced by which electric vehicles are able to receive changes to their powertrains and drivetrains without going to a dealership or service center at all. Better yet, the purchase of the upgrade is offered in monthly or yearly subscriptions, or as a one-time purchase for the lifetime of the vehicle, meaning that owners have various options as to if they want to upgrade their car, how long they want to keep the upgrade, and how much they want to pay for it. With innovations like these, even upgrading a car is easier and quicker than ever before.
