The car offers unique charging, and home charging benefits, as well as a subscription to an electric scooter for electric mobility outside the car, but only 150 of them will be made.
On top of the standard 2-year unlimited 30-minute free charging on the Electrify America DC network that the EQS 580 4MATIC comes with, the City Edition adds free ChargePoint home charging to make Southern California driving easier, along with a credit for up to $1,000 towards the installation. In addition, customers receive a one-year all-access subscription with insurance and maintenance for an Unagi Model One Voyager electric scooter, complete with a choice of color.

The City Edition itself comes in two configurations: MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic paint with Macchiato Beige and Space Grey leather, and Twilight Blue Metallic paint with Neva Grey and Sable Brown Leather, both with yacht-design walnut wood trim. An added perk is that Mercedes-Benz USA will donate to Safe Kids California locations with each of the 150 examples of the City Edition sold.
