A small car takes part in a big celebration for AMG.
AMG’s 55th anniversary has already given us plenty of special editions and amazing celebratory projects from the brand, and it continues here in the United States, with AMG creating the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 “Edition 55” to mark 2022 being 55 years since AMG’s establishment in 1967. The CLA 45 “Edition 55” will only be available in the United States, and it is limited to an incredibly rare 55 units, chosen to match the anniversary year. The car features plenty of special touches and features that make the “Edition 55” version of the CLA 45 stand out.

It all starts with the AMG Aerodynamics package. A front apron and splitter, an AMG rear wing, and deflectors at the rear apron’s air outlet are all painted in high-gloss black and with wind tunnel testing are proven to improve driving at high speeds. The AMG Night package darkens trim pieces all over the exterior of the car for a sleek and intimidating look. To complete the look, the car is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic, with 19-inch matte gray wheels and “Edition 55” graphics throughout. The interior features a two/tone upholstery of Classic Red and Black Nappa leather, with an “Edition 55” decorated steering wheel, as well as “Edition 55” embroidery on the floor mats. The car is going to be available to purchase later this year for the 2023 model year, and with only 55 available, it’s going to go quick.
