VINwiki Confirms New Cannonball Record

Records are meant to be broken, and that is why Brock Yates and his son decided to drive from NYC to LA as fast as possible. Their time of 40 hours and 51 minutes was a tribute to legendary racer “Cannonball Baker”. Several more runs involved Dan Gurney, Richard Rawlings, Dennis Collins, Alex Roy, just to name a few.

Our friend Ed Bolian was the first to do it under 29 hours, and given the modifications to his Mercedes-Benz, we assumed it could not be beaten. But as the founder of VINwiki, he has inspired another team that has crossed the nation in a much quicker time.

A Mercedes-AMG E63 traveled 2,825 miles at triple-digit speeds without breaking a sweat, so click the button above to find one for yourself.

P.S. We do not advocate speeding or reckless driving, so please obey all traffic laws.
