After recently taking delivery of his brand new Mercedes-AMG One, Nico Rosberg took to his popular YouTube channel to document his first drive behind the wheel of the $3.25 million, F1-inspired track monster.
Before unleashing all that the AMG One has to offer at Mercedes-Benz‘s private track day in Stuttgart, Germany, Nico spent some time with Mercedes-AMG Development Driver Sebastian Fäsch to briefly go over some key controls and features. The smooth and relaxing start to the test drive showcases the hypercar’s electrified side, quietly navigating through public roads without its gas-powered engine interfering. But as soon as Nico demands more power through the accelerator pedal, the glorious sound of Mercedes-AMG’s 1.6L turbocharged V6 roars to life with over 1,063 horsepower available.
Once finally off public roads and at the test track, where the AMG One’s track mode is only legal, Nico and Sebastian finally prepared to experience AMG One in its natural environment. Mercedes-AMG’s performance engineering and handling shine through as it tackles the intense banking of the test circuit, which can generate up to 5G’s as it grips the surface. With plenty of smiles and a few close calls, it’s safe to say that Nico Rosberg will thoroughly enjoy his new Mercedes-AMG One as he continues to create more upcoming content for his fans.
