It didn’t take much convincing to unleash the Mercedes-AMG GT3 on the streets!
Let’s face it. As car enthusiasts with an obsession for all things automotive, we’ve all tried to convince ourselves, at one point or another, that a track-only, competition GT car would be appropriate to call a daily driver. And while a long list of road rules and regulations quickly put that pitch to rest, the team over at Race Service challenged that thought with their long-awaited Mercedes-AMG GT3 ‘Raw Spec’ race car. Race Service is based in Los Angeles and known for its creative collaborations that tie together the world of media and streetwear with motorsports, as seen in past projects and clothing lines with Mercedes-Benz. Recently after taking delivery of its customized Mercedes-AMG GT3, Race Service planned a quick route through Hollywood to capture the race car in an environment where you wouldn’t traditionally find one.
A behind-the-scenes documentary of the photoshoot gives insight into the milestones achieved by Race Service, going full circle since its first project featuring the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. In an almost effortless fashion, the AMG GT3 set the perfect scene as it stuck out like a sore thumb in everyday traffic while people grabbed cell phone shots from all angles. The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came as part of the car’s official debut alongside a must-have apparel collection inspired by the authentic side of motorsports, giving race fans a reason to re-style their wardrobe. Ending what seemed to be a perfect day with a proper studio photoshoot at the exact location of its first Mercedes collab, Race Service teased that the AMG GT3 would be launched to the world above the Hollywood Hotel after being trailed in by its Mercedes-Benz Unimog.
