The new Panigale V4 R’s engine development also involved the creation of a special oil developed by Shell in collaboration with Ducati Corse.

The Bologna-based manufacturer is known for creating superbikes that incorporate state-of-the-art performance, design, and technology. As the brand highlights its product lineup through the Ducati World Première web series, it proudly debuts the all-new Panigale V4 R during the fourth episode. The Ducati Panigale V4 R adopts many of its new features and statistics from its MotoGP motorcycle.While Ducati has already perfected the overall design of the Panigale, the V4 R includes small updates like an increased 4.5-gallon aluminum gas tank. Its MotoGP-inspired livery also features new carbon wings and a racing number, which will match the production number of each limited-edition chassis that leaves the factory. Magnesium rims provide additional weight reduction, shaving a further 1.5 lb (-10%) compared to the already light-forged original factory rims.

The new 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R is the heart of the Panigale V4 R, an engine capable of reaching a maximum engine speed of 16,500 rpm in sixth gear and delivering a maximum power of 207 horsepower. The Panigale V4 R can produce an extraordinary 240.5 horsepower with the complete racing exhaust and dedicated Shell oil. Managing the power through a six-speed transmission, Ducati equips the V4 R with a dry clutch and gear ratios used by WorldSBK Panigale race bikes. Electronics are enhanced with a new “Track EVO” display, offering a user-friendly that helps navigate between Road, Track, and Track EVO riding dynamic modes. The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R in MotoGP-derived racing livery will retail for $44,995, with dealership arrivals expected in spring 2023.
