The New Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 Is A Superbike Born For The Track

Ducati performance has just reached a new extreme.

Ducati motorcycles are known all over the world for being exciting, beautiful, iconic, and beyond anything, quick. And now, the brand has created a bike that is considered Ducati’s “ultimate racetrack machine,” the Panigale V4 SP2.

The V4 SP2’s performance is thanks in part to weight-saving measures all the way down to an available titanium Akrapovič exhaust system, carbon fiber wheels, a lightweight chain, and more precise details that Ducati improved to get the full potential out of the Panigale. That comes along with a MotoGP-derived 1,103 cc Desmosedici engine with 210 horsepower and over 90 lb/ft of torque, an advanced braking system from Brembo, and Ducati’s signature dry clutch.

The bike, top to bottom, is made for the track, as it comes with a kit to remove the rear-view mirrors and license plate holder. However, that doesn’t mean that riding it is reserved for MotoGP professionals and highly experienced riders. Ducati has created the Panigale to be accessible and exhilarating for riders with varying experience levels, ensuring that all riders can experience the full potential of one of the most technologically advanced and capable Ducatis yet.

One of the most important aspects of a Ducati is the look and experience of owning and riding an Italian Superbike. The livery that the Panigale will be released in is called “Winter Test,” and it combines the signature red and black colors of Ducati with exposed carbon and brushed aluminum, creating a sleek, modern, and intimidating look that is unequivocally Ducati. The bike will be made in limited numbers and starts at $39,500. Deliveries start as soon as mid-2022.
