A celebrated executive car officially enters its ninth generation.
The Audi A6 is one of the world’s favorite executive sedans, with sharp looks, luxurious features, and an enjoyable driving experience, especially thanks to its range of powertrains and performance-focused models. However, the new ninth generation of the Audi A6, which is arriving in the States for the 2026 model year, promises to deliver on those characteristics at the most innovative level yet.
For the 2026 model year, the Audi A6 features a 3.0-liter turbo V6 under the hood, which sends 362 horsepower (27 more than the outgoing generation) and 406 lb/ft of torque through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels as standard. The A6 sedan will give its driver a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, with a top speed limited to 130 mph.
Previously only available on the S6, the new 2026 Audi A6 receives features like adaptive air suspension with electronically controlled dampers at the Prestige trim level, as well as optional all-wheel steering, sport rear differential, and sport suspension in lieu of the air suspension. Four wheel designs for the new 2026 A6 Sedan range from 19 to 21 inches, with a completely new Midnight Green exterior color becoming available as part of a total of eleven exterior colors available.
Throughout, the 2026 Audi A6 has been improved for the new ninth generation with a focus on enhancing its luxury and bringing performance-focused enhancements to the fold that were previously exclusive to the S6, making the driving experience of the celebrated executive sedan even better than before. Starting at $64,100 in the United States, the new 2026 Audi A6 Sedan will be available at Audi dealerships in the United States starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.
