Bizzarrini makes big moves for the future of the brand.
Bizzarrini, the legendary Italian motorsport marque founded by Giotto Bizzarrini in 1964, continues to make waves in the automotive world. Under new ownership since 2020, Bizzarrini has been revitalizing its brand with a focus on top-notch design, craftsmanship, and engineering. The manufacturer’s newest update is the appointment of Isobel Dando as CEO, effective July 2024. Isobel Dando brings a wealth of experience from her impressive career with renowned brands like Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, and MOKE. Her leadership is expected to drive Bizzarrini into an era of growth and innovation, with a focus on the much-anticipated Giotto program.
Isobel Dando’s presence marks a significant milestone for Bizzarrini, improving an already stellar executive team. Alongside Isobel, the team includes Ian Fenton as Board Advisor, Dr. Ulrich Bez as Board Advisor, Chris Porritt as Chief Technical Officer, Fraser Dunn as Chief Engineer, Simon Busby as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Dr. Matthew Bennett as Sales Director, and Lewis Trickett as Head of Commercial and Programme. The seasoned team is well-positioned to push Bizzarrini’s ambitious plans forward, overlapping with the successful conclusion of the 5300 GT Corsa Revival program and the 24 editions delivered to new owners.
Bizzarrini’s investments in its corporate structure and operations in Italy and the UK highlight its dedication to automotive excellence. The newly established Centro Tecnologico di Bizzarrini (CTB) at Silverstone demonstrates this commitment. The future of Bizzarrini is embodied in The Giotto, an all-new Hyper GT car designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio at GFG Style. The Giotto features a bespoke carbon fiber body, mirroring the iconic Bizzarrini 5300 GT, and houses an exclusive V12 engine developed in partnership with Cosworth. The naturally aspirated powertrain is a nod to Giotto Bizzarrini’s original Lamborghini V12 design, with a cylinder capacity of 6626cc, honoring his birth date, June 6, 1926. The Giotto promises to capture the spirit of Giotto Bizzarrini and deliver an exceptional driving experience.
