Bugatti Bolide, a monumental track-only hypercar limited to just 40 units, promises to bring a piece of Bugatti’s illustrious racing history to the present. Merging the impeccable craftsmanship of Bugatti with a deep dive into its on-track heritage, Bugatti recently orchestrated a motorsport-inspired experiential journey for future Bolide owners at its historic home in Molsheim. The exclusive experience provided a rich exploration of Bugatti’s racing history, offering customers a glimpse into the inspiration behind the Bolide. This track monster, an exceptional incarnation of the W16 engine, encapsulates the brand’s advanced engineering prowess and its century of iconic motorsport success.
The journey to the roots of Bugatti included a ride with Luigi Galli, a Bugatti specialist, in the Bugatti Type 35 – one of the most successful racing cars of all time. Bolide customers were then immersed in Bugatti’s greatest historic motorsport successes, including the unbeatable Type 35, the legendary Type 59/50B III, and the iconic Type 57G ‘Tank’. The event’s pinnacle was a collaboration session with Bugatti’s designer to finalize the bespoke design of each customer’s Bolide. They were guided by Jascha Straub, Sales and Design Executive at Bugatti, to pay homage to Bugatti’s past with classic color combinations or personalized liveries.
The day concluded with Bolide customers virtually experiencing the roar of Bolide’s W16 engine on a state-of-the-art simulator at the Circuit de la Sarthe and Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. Bugatti is committed to creating lasting memories through unique experiences. The Bolide production is set to begin in 2024 at the Molsheim Atelier, marking another milestone in Bugatti’s celebrated racing legacy.
