City of Tampa Proclaims “Ferman Motorcar Company Day”

Fred Ferman became Tampa’s first car dealer in 1895. The economy was based on being Florida’s gateway to Central and South America, so there were wealthy people who could afford such luxuries as an automobile. Once the Orange Belt Railroad arrived, Mr. Ferman founded an automotive empire that has served Tampa for 125 years. That is why Mayor Castor has proclaimed April 20th to be “Ferman Motorcar Company Day”.

The 7th-oldest dealer in the U.S. now has a dozen locations around the bay area. Their commitment to philanthropy and local events is next to none, so we are proud to represent the Ferman Motorcar Company for years. Congratulations to our hometown heroes, and here’s to another 125 years!
