Daniel Arsham’s Porsche 928 NEBULA Is A Blast From The Past

Establishing success in the automotive industry with a legacy of historic models, the Porsche brand continues to evolve into a creative icon with its involvement in art-inspired collaborations. Having worked with American artist Daniel Arsham on past projects that feature vintage and modern 911s, Porsche is proud to resume the relationship with this new reimagined 1978 928 inspired by Y2K aesthetics. Utilizing the help of renowned vehicle designer The Kyza, the 928’s front and rear bumper were redesigned in a tasteful fashion to complement the stunning metallic purple finish. Nicknamed NEBULA, the rear bumper features a custom third brake light that showcases the insignia below its large motorsport-inspired wing.

Period correct multi-spoke mono wheels perfectly pair with Porsche’s elongated front-engine sports car. Paying homage to the early 2000s style, the interior cabin presents rich shades of purple Ultrasuede and leather. The custom sports seat inserts incorporate Daniel Arsham’s logo, while the outer portion is layered in smooth purple leather. A one-off aluminum steering wheel and shift knob contrast against the purple tones with custom woven fabric by BYBORRE. Celebrating the past, present, and future of Porsche, the time-traveling 928 NEBULA will be on display for the first time at the Porsche X space at SXSW.
