Glickenhaus 007 LMP Chassis is Ready to Race

When the Hypercar class was announced, we assumed only the world’s biggest automakers would rise to the challenge. Before they could respond, our friend Jim Glickenhaus announced he would be flying the Stars & Stripes. Development of the SCG 007 was already underway, so building the ultimate version was a no-brainer. That is why we’re glad his son Jesse has confirmed the 007 LMP chassis is ready to race.

Relentless testing in the wind tunnel and in the virtual realm has yielded an unprecedented American hypercar. Their dynos are being calibrated to begin testing the “Pipo” engine later this year. Perhaps the most shocking news is the addition of a 2nd car. Both will be fielded at Sebring and Spa to prepare for LeMans. For icing on the cake, Jim said: “Ever since I listened to the 24 hours of Le Mans on my ham radio as a young boy I’ve dreamed of building a car to compete at Le Mans. I’m so happy that we are getting there.” The 2021 season will be one for the record books, so stay with us for all updates from Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.
