Lucid Begins Deliveries Of Its Latest Stealthy Sedan

In August of last year, California-based automaker Lucid Motors announced a new aesthetic package for the Air Grand Touring and Air Touring. Simply called the Stealth Appearance package, this optional extra darkens the electric sedan’s exterior trim, giving them a stealthier aesthetic akin to the upcoming range-topping Sapphire.

The package costs $3,000 for metal-roof-equipped cars and $6,000 for those equipped with the glass canopy roof. Up to 35 exterior trim pieces adopt a gloss or graphite black finish, replacing the standard brushed, and silver accents found throughout the sedan in standard form. This package has two unique wheel designs, a 20-inch Aero Light Stealth option and a 21-in Aero Sport Stealth variant, both featuring details in satin black.

Aside from these visual changes, the Air Grand Touring and Air Touring remain mechanically identical to their standard counterparts.

Lucid announced today that it began delivering cars equipped with this optional package to customers in California. The first delivery took place in Lucid’s Costa Mesa location. The carmaker also stated that it will begin delivering cars across the country in the coming weeks.

This package aims to achieve a similar goal to what Rolls-Royce did with its Black Badge models, giving customers who want an opulent luxury vehicle with a more subtle exterior look that is simultaneously more aggressive and modern.

Of course, we can’t forget about the upcoming Sapphire. It adopts a similar stealthy look, albeit with more aggressive aero components, larger wheels, and stickier rubber to handle its claimed over 1,200 horsepower output.

If you’d like a Stealthy Lucid, this latest appearance package is available to order via the carmaker’s website.
