In 1993, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 500 G# with an eight-cylinder engine, setting a high bar in the luxury off-roader segment. Now, three decades later, the ‘Final Edition’ celebrates the model’s 30th birthday with a series of exclusive features, maintaining the long-established tradition of cultivated performance both on and off the road. Limited to 1,500 units, it serves as an homage and parting gift to the V8 that helped make the G-Class a segment-defining luxury SUV.

The limited special model is available in three color variants – Obsidian Black Metallic, MANUFAKTUR opalith white magno, and MANUFAKTUR olive magno – each limited to 500 units. With 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels and ‘FINAL EDITION’ lettering embellished across various parts of the vehicle, the ‘Final Edition’ radiates the same exclusivity and strength that the Mercedes-Benz G 500 has demonstrated over the past 30 years.

Further enhancing the car’s external appeal are details like the high-gloss chrome spare wheel ring, add-on parts in the body color, and an exclusive indoor car cover with “STRONGER THAN TIME” lettering, as well as a logo projector in the exterior mirrors that say the same thing. Inside, the ‘Final Edition’ continues the G 500’s tradition of a high-quality interior, greeting occupants with illuminated ‘FINAL EDITION’ lettering on the door sill trims and the passenger’s grab handle. The keys feature an edition-specific silver coin. Standard features include the Superior Line with the Burmester® surround sound system, the Active Multicontour Seat Package Plus, and seats in two-tone MANUFAKTUR Nappa leather. Most notably, the ‘Final Edition’ comes with the new MANUFAKTUR full leather package, ensuring an exquisite interior experience. The package features Nappa leather lining almost the entire interior, matched impeccably with the respective exterior paintwork.

The ‘Final Edition’ of the G 500 is more than just a limited special model; it is a tribute to a vehicle that has set benchmarks in the luxury off-roader segment. It encapsulates Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and heritage, symbolizing the end of one chapter and the beginning of another in the storied history of the G-Class. Details about pricing and availability are currently only available for the German market, where the model is available to order for the rough equivalent of $215,000.
