Polestar, the innovative electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has recently made headlines by unveiling its latest prototypes, the Polestar 3, and Polestar 5, along with the Polestar 2 BST edition 230, at the much-anticipated Goodwood Festival of Speed. Renowned for its pioneering and impressive EV designs, Polestar’s latest rollouts further solidify its commitment to eco-friendly automotive excellence. The dynamic debut of these forthcoming models at the iconic festival signifies a significant milestone in the evolution of electric vehicles, as Polestar continues to disrupt the traditional car market with its trailblazing approach.
The Goodwood Festival, the annual pilgrimage for car enthusiasts, served as a fitting stage for the public debut of the 517-horsepower Polestar 3 and the 884-horsepower Polestar 5 prototype. These new electric powerhouses joined the 476hp Polestar 2 BST edition 230, creating a spectacle of electrified power that promises a thrilling driving experience while prioritizing sustainability.
At the heart of the action was the First Glance Paddock, with each model running up the festival hill twice per day. “We love showing our latest prototypes to the public at Goodwood,” said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. He shared that production for the Polestar 3, a car set to redefine the electric SUV sector, is set to commence in early 2024. The Polestar 5, an electric 4-door GT developed in the UK, was also highlighted as a significant upcoming release.
Goodwood attendees were also treated to the sight of the updated Polestar 2 with rear-wheel drive, the Polestar electric roadster concept, and the Polestar 3 on display on the main Polestar stand and Electric Avenue, marking yet another step in Polestar’s electric journey.
Polestar’s online platforms are open for purchasing the updated Polestar 2 and the limited-production BST edition 230. The Polestar 3 can be pre-ordered, with deliveries anticipated in Q2 2024, and its launch in Polestar Spaces across all markets is imminent. The Polestar 5, which is the production evolution of the Polestar Precept, is officially launching in 2024, while Polestar 6, which will be evolved from the electric roadster concept, is planned for 2026.
