Polestar 4 To Debut Next Week As Brand’s Fastest EV

Following last year’s announcement of its Polestar 3 SUV, the Swedish carmaker is gearing up to unveil another new product. This time, it’s called the Polestar 4, and it will not only be the carmaker’s second SUV, but it’s also slated to be its fastest production EV.

Polestar announced today that it has plans to unveil its new offering next week during the Shanghai auto show on April 18th. While we still know very little about this upcoming model, the carmaker stated that it “blends the aerodynamics of a coupe with the space of an SUV.” While this would typically have us thinking about a coupe-style SUV. Plenty of spy shots depict the Polestar 4 as a slightly smaller, lower offering.

Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath said of the new product: “Polestar 4 is not simply a modified version of our first SUV. Instead, we reconsidered the entire design to create a new breed of SUV coupé.”

In keeping with this theme of the Polestar 4 being a separate product from the 3, the carmaker stated it will be Polestar’s fastest production car to date. This is exciting considering that the brand’s first offering, the Polestar 1, was a 619-horsepower, 155-mph coupe that could hit 60 mph in under four seconds.

Thankfully we won’t have to wait long for the full unveil.
