The Porsche Taycan continues it’s journey around the world to make that world a better place.

The Join the Porsche Ride initiative for sustainability started in June. It involves an all-electric Porsche Taycan embarking on a worldwide journey to show each destination its approach to sustainability and spur local sustainability projects focusing on empowering and educating people on the environment, health, and social integration. After its first stop at Porsche Leipzig, the Taycan heads to Switzerland, where Porsche Schweiz AG is cooperating with Procap Schweiz to advocate for those with disabilities, especially in helping bring access for people with disabilities to Switzerland’s stunningly beautiful walking trails.

1.8 million Swiss people live with disabilities, and the fact that walking trails give limited access to many of them as they are is a big problem, which Porsche and Procap are working to solve through various measures, like GPS data and voice guidance, more simple measures like indicating areas where wheelchair users need assistance and providing volunteers to give that assistance and also working with universities to create things like electric trekking wheelchairs. While the all-electric Porsche Taycan is the biggest and most obvious way that the Porsche brand is evolving to contribute to a better world, there are numerous other facets to its approach towards making a difference.
