With this reveal, Polestar forms a trilogy.

In its youth, the Swedish electric auto manufacturer Polestar has already begun to make waves with its Polestar 1 grand tourer and Polestar 2 model. Now, the brand is trying its hand at a market that is fiercely competitive with the Polestar 3, which is the brand’s first SUV. Luxury SUVs are an incredibly popular segment, and with the novelty of electric power, the Polestar 3 will undoubtedly be an important part of Polestar’s lineup. The new model’s design is inspired by the Polestar Precept concept, and it’s a 5-seater SUV with high levels of performance, luxury, and modern style.

With its electric powertrain, the new Polestar 3 is capable of 517 horsepower and 671 lb/ft of torque with the optional performance pack equipped. Along with performance, it combines luxury with a sustainable philosophy, making use of leather that’s animal welfare-certified and wools that are fully traceable. Safety is also a priority in the Polestar 3, using an NVIDIA DRIVE core computer to run advanced driver assistance systems, and a total of 5 radar modules, 5 external cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors for various safety features. In addition, LiDAR will be available from the second quarter of 2023, with orders for the model in initial launch markets opening on October 12. The first deliveries of Polestar 3 vehicles are set to begin towards the end of 2023, with a take on the luxury SUV that is both engaging and safe for the environment and its occupants alike.
