Polestar’s all-electric hero is ready for a refresh.

Polestar introduced its all-electric offerings with the Polestar 2, as the Polestar 1 was a plug-in hybrid, and since then, the Polestar 2 has served as the first example of the young brand’s ability to deliver luxury and quality driving in the electric vehicle space. However, Polestar has seen room for improvement in the car, and has announced a whole host of revisions for the model year 2024 version of the car, making it drive better, look better, and protect its occupants better.

Rather than a simple cosmetic facelift, the features are the main focus of improvement. Single-motor models now have rear-wheel drive while all models have rear bias and new electric motors, and the new Performance Pack includes 20-inch wheels that reflect the sportiness of the brand that has been heralded by the introduction of the new Polestar 3, the brand’s first SUV. Also credited to the introduction of the Polestar 3, the new front end of the Polestar 2 now includes the brand’s Smart Zone, including a front-facing camera and mid-range radar for safety. Upgraded batteries mean better range and performance throughout the entire lineup, and with all of those new features for 2024, the Polestar 2 is ready to continue being a vehicle that defines the future.
