Don’t let anyone tell you the manual transmission is dead. Porsche purists rebuked the 991 series GT3 RS for not offering three pedals, and the factory responded with the Porsche 911 R for sale. This retro-inspired ride was limited production because it was only offered as a six-speed manual. Air conditioning and audio were optional, making it one of the lightest cars in recent history.
The secret is that it shares the engine and suspension from the GT3 RS. Doing without the wild aerodynamic features and the roll cage makes it a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
