2017 Porsche Boxster and Cayman Are Now the 718 Model Series

Big changes are coming to Porsche’s smallest models. In a press release dated December 10th, the future of the Boxster and Cayman is clearly defined. In a nod to one of their famous race cars of 1957, both cars are being marketed as the 718 Series.

For the 2017 model year, the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman will grow even closer in styling and also in power. With Porsche’s recent racing successes utilizing four-cylinder power, both cars will feature new turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
