2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Runs a Reported Nurburgring Time of Under 7 Minutes

The new 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the most powerful 911 that Porsche has ever created. When compared to the 2011 911 GT2 RS, the 2018 model has 80 more horsepower and 37 more lb-ft of torque. The result is an astonishing 700 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque (911 Turbo S comes with 580 hp and .553 lb-ft).

With this power, YouTube channel EMS Nordschleife TV is saying the car ran the Nurburgring Nordschleife in less than 7 minutes. If true, the 911 GT2 RS would be joining a handful of other cars that have completed the lap in under 7 minutes. This include the Lamborghini Aventador SV (6:59.73), Porsche 918 Spyder (6:57), and Lamborghini Huracan Performante (fastest at 6:52.01).

We’ll keep you updated when the official Nurburgring numbers are released.
