Making its debut at the prestigious The Bridge event in the Hamptons, Arsham’s ‘356 Bonsai’ Speedster sat on scene to display the natural age and patina of the nearly 70-year-old car. In partnership with Willhoit Auto Restoration and Bridge Hampton Motoring Club, its exterior includes all original components in a raw bare metal state. Inside is where Arsham’s creative abilities came to light, with an interior design that combines indigo dyed boro, Sashimi stitched canvas, and Japanese denim produced in Okayama. The breathtaking interior configuration continues the use of Wabi Sabi, glorifying the process of mixing Japanese textiles and colors. The 1955 Porsche 356 ‘Bonsai’ Speedster also highlights a sculpted patinated bronze 3D relief of a bonsai tree on the engine grille.
