Daniel Arsham’s Hot Wheels: Where Art Meets Play.
Preserving the legacy of Porsche’s iconic 911 through various artistic avenues and collaborations, Daniel Arsham first made waves in the automotive world with the debut of his crystal-eroded series. Since exploding onto the scene and even given the blessing from Porsche themselves, Daniel is proud to continue showing his love for the greatest sports cars of all time by teaming up with Mattel Creations to announce the Hot Wheels x Daniel Arsham Collection Drop 4. The collaboration, a fruition of two years of innovation, introduces Silkstone, an unexplored material, to Hot Wheels, reflecting Arsham’s signature style in every detail.
The drop features four limited edition 1:64 scale models, titled “Laps”, which first began with crystalized eroded versions of Hot Wheels’ famous Rodger Dodger and a Porsche 930 Turbo. The newest additions to the Hot Wheels fleet is an adaptation of Daniel Arsham’s personal 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo ‘Safari’ and a 1968 Ford Mustang from the film Bullitt. Beyond the small-scale cars themselves, accessories like keychains and limited prints are also included within the collection to help form the bond between automotive excellence and artistic style.
