The new electric Porsche Macan graces the pink carpet.
Those in the fashion world eagerly anticipate the Met Gala each year. The event, meant to raise funds for New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, serves as one of the year’s most anticipated fashion events, sitting at the same caliber as the world’s most prestigious Fashion Weeks as the place to be to see or be seen among the globe’s top celebrities in daring outfits from the most prestigious couture houses.
With high fashion on display and an A-list guest list, fashion and pop culture enthusiasts are counting down the days until the Monday evening the Met Gala is set to take place, which this year is on May 6, 2024. However, automotive enthusiasts have something to be excited about at the Met Gala, as well, as Porsche has announced that its newly-revealed electric Macan SUV, the second all-electric model in its lineup of luxury performance vehicles, will be featured as the official electric vehicle of the dazzlingly star-studded event.
With that important role to play, the new all-electric Porsche Macan will have the duty of transporting select Met Gala guests to and from the event, and also, Porsche and Vogue are collaborating on a new branded content series called True Essence with an episode centered around Catherine Holstein, Founder/Creative Director of one of New York City’s hottest luxury designer labels, Khaite.
To complete its meaningful partnership with the Met Gala and its surrounding activations, Porsche will also make its own financial contribution to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, solidifying its meaningful involvement not only in the Met Gala as a glamorous and fashionable party, but as a gathering that works to advocate for the arts. At the center of it all is one of Porsche’s most stylish and innovative models, the new all-electric Macan.
