75 years ago, Ferry Porsche built the sports car of his dreams and revealed the Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ roadster to the world. Since then, the Porsche brand has grown into an iconic automotive manufacturer with a passionate community of owners and enthusiasts worldwide. Celebrating 75 years of “Driven by Dreams” and Ferry Porsche’s innovative thinking, Porsche Design is proud to debut the limited production Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition. The special edition Chronograph 1 modernizes the first timepiece developed in 1972, showcasing a black carbide-coated titanium case with matching side pushers and an inner tachymeter bezel.

The simplistic matte black dial design stacks the sport-driven subdials, highlighting numbers and indexes in white accents. Visible through its sapphire back case and Porsche Fuchs wheel rotor is Porsche Design’s caliber WERK 01.140 movement, developed and handcrafted in the Porsche watch factory in Solothurn, Switzerland. Porsche Design also specially developed a textile/leather strap for the Chronograph 1, with light blue stitching and a woven red stripe in the center. The commemorative strap reads “75 Porsche 1948 – 2023” inside. The new Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition is limited to only 475 pieces and is currently available (pre-order) for $11,000 by clicking the link below.
