Porsche Unveils New 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche For F. A. Porsche's 90th Birthday

F. A. Porsche’s 90th birthday is celebrated with a special creation.

As a manufacturer, Porsche boasts over 75 years of history, but the eponymous family behind it has an even longer legacy. One of the most notable members is Ferdinand Alexander, or F. A. Porsche, who was one of the grandsons of Porsche’s founder and also one of the manufacturer’s most impactful designers, was responsible for designs like the 901/991, the 804 F1 car, and the 904 Carrera GTS before founding Porsche Design and creating what is today a celebrated line of luxury goods.

Today, December 11, would have been his 90th birthday, and to honor the incredible influence that F. A. Porsche had on Porsche’s history and legacy, the manufacturer has unveiled a new vehicle, the new Porsche 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche. It’s an ultra-exclusive creation from Sonderwunsch Manufaktur, of which only 90 units will be made, and one of them is going to none other than Mark Porsche, Ferdinand Alexander’s own son. With a signature look created to pay homage to F. A. Porsche, the vehicle is also able to be further customized by its elite circle of customers.

The stunning bespoke Paint to Sample color it’s showcased in is F. A. Green, a color specifically made for the model and an homage to the Oak Green of F. A.’s own Porsche 911. Meanwhile, a fabric in the seat centers is a reference to his favorite sport coat. Based on the current 911 GT3 Touring, it costs $387,000, with production set to begin in mid-2026. In addition to the car, Porsche Design’s Chronograph 1 and a special weekender bag will come with each example.

With a classically inspired look and a design brief to pay homage to one of the most influential figures in Porsche’s history as an automotive manufacturer, the new Porsche 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche is an incredible 90th birthday present to someone who is nothing short of a legend in automotive history. Its elegant design and scant production numbers will undoubtedly make it one of Porsche’s greatest modern collector-grade masterpieces.
