Ultra-rare Manthey-equipped Porsche 911 GT3 RS joins elite driver coaching program at Barber Motorsports Park.
For driving enthusiasts and collectors with a passion for precision performance, few cars command the same reverence as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Now, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is offering an unprecedented opportunity to experience the 911 GT3 RS equipped with the Manthey Kit at its world-class Porsche Track Experience (PTX) at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
This marks the first time the track-optimized 911 GT3 RS Manthey is being made available in a customer coaching environment – an exclusive addition to Porsche’s most advanced driving programs through spring 2026. For discerning enthusiasts seeking to explore the limits of Porsche engineering with professional instruction, this announcement redefines high-performance driver education in America.
“On racetracks, balance is key to performance, whether you are talking about smooth throttle and brake inputs or chassis setup and aerodynamics. The 911 GT3 RS is all about maintaining that balance in highly demanding scenarios where consistent aerodynamic performance is critical to quick laps,” said Cass Whitehead, Chief Instructor at Porsche Track Experience. “The Manthey kit focuses even more on track-based performance than the standard GT3 RS. There aren’t many examples equipped with these kits, so getting to experience the car in both its standard configuration and with Manthey parts is an incredibly special opportunity.”
A New Benchmark for Track-Day Supercars

Developed in tandem with Porsche’s motorsport division in Weissach and racing experts at Manthey Racing, the Manthey Kit elevates the already formidable GT3 RS into an apex predator among track machines. At 177 mph, the car generates over 2,200 pounds of downforce – a 20 percent increase over the standard GT3 RS – without adding aerodynamic drag.
Among the aerodynamic upgrades:
• Enlarged front lip and dual dive planes
• Optimized Gurney flaps and wide rear diffuser
• Enlarged DRS (Drag Reduction System) rear wing with carbon aero discs
• Carbon fiber rear window, motorsport-style shark fin, and six roof fins
These components collectively enhance grip, stability, and cooling under high-load conditions, pushing the 911 GT3 RS’s performance envelope even further.
Performance Engineering to Match

Complementing the aero upgrades is a semi-active coilover suspension system tuned specifically for the Manthey package’s added downforce. The setup features:
• +30% spring rate in the front
• +15% spring rate in the rear
• Independently adjustable compression and rebound
• Braided steel brake lines for improved pedal feel and braking confidence
This engineering allows the GT3 RS to remain composed on Barber Motorsports Park’s 2.38-mile, 16-turn circuit – ideal conditions for high-speed cornering, threshold braking, and data-driven performance refinement.
Exclusive Access for Advanced Drivers

Access to the Manthey-equipped 911 GT3 RS is limited to Porsche Track Experience’s elite-level driving courses, designed for seasoned drivers and aspiring racers. These courses offer personalized coaching, telemetry analysis, and deep skill development behind the wheel of one of Porsche’s most track-focused models.
Program options include:
• Masters RS – Three days of advanced skill-building and race craft; completion qualifies drivers to apply for a SCCA Full Competition License.
• Masters RSR – A four-day curriculum emphasizing telemetry, car control, and extended track time.
• Masters TR – An invitation-only, two-day format that offers maximum seat time for PTX’s most advanced alumni.
“PTX has been operating at Barber Motorsports Park since 2003 and has recently announced the expansion to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in 2026,” said Michelle Rainey, Director of Porsche Experience Centers. “Our professional instructors, challenging race circuits, and fleet of 70 various Porsche models create the ultimate experience.”
The Next Level of Porsche Performance Education

In a world where track experiences have become increasingly curated and exclusive, Porsche’s addition of the Manthey-equipped 911 GT3 RS to its PTX program sets a new standard. With bookings now open and eligibility restricted to the most advanced courses, it presents a rare opportunity to drive a track car that blurs the line between GT and Cup car – all under expert supervision at one of the most scenic road courses in the U.S.
For high-net-worth drivers, collectors, and enthusiasts looking to sharpen their driving skills while exploring the outer edge of Porsche engineering, this program is unmatched.
