New All-Electric 2023 Rolls Royce Spectre Prototype Spotted In Germany

“When it does not exist, design it.”

That’s what the camouflaging reads on the front of the New Rolls-Royce Spectre prototype. What doesn’t exist is an electric Rolls-Royce, and the Spectre, arriving in 2023, will be the first one. With emissions regulations tightening in an effort to increase environmental sustainability, luxury and performance car brands whose cars require lots of power have been transitioning towards electric powertrains for the combination of high power and performance, and lack of CO2 emissions.

The prototype has been spotted silently cruising German roads, as poised and graceful as any Rolls-Royce would, and while the Spirit of Ecstasy emblem remained down in the video, Rolls-Royce has designed a new Spirit of Ecstasy to debut with the Spectre. The redesign has a two-fold purpose: her lower, more aerodynamic stance not only improves the aerodynamics of the car but also shows her posing more eagerly to move forward and into the future.
