Any Rolls-Royce is an aspirational vehicle for most car enthusiasts and the general public, but as the historic luxury manufacturer’s highest-selling convertible model, the Rolls-Royce Dawn represented something special. The stunning luxury open-top grand tourer entered Rolls-Royce’s lineup and immediately became a representation of a glamorous lifestyle with driving pleasure and superior comfort. Whether it’s for everyday driving, weekend cruising, or spirited wind-in-hair fun, the Rolls-Royce Dawn is more than worthy of its designation as a dream car for many.

However, Rolls-Royce has announced that the long and celebrated era of the Dawn is coming to an end. As Rolls-Royce begins to transition towards electrification, its current lineup of V12-powered models are beginning to bow out. The Wraith coupe has done the same, and with the introduction of the new Rolls-Royce Spectre, the historic brand has introduced its first all-electric model and its first electric coupe. With this in mind, it may be very sad news that the Dawn is no longer a part of Rolls-Royce’s current model lineup, but we may be able to look forward to an electric convertible model that could arrive in its place.
